DBT Skills Group

DBT Skills Training is a structured, skills-based group designed to help you navigate intense emotions, manage stress, and strengthen relationships. This group offers practical tools you can begin using right away to support balance, clarity, and steadiness in everyday life.

Rather than focusing on the past, DBT Skills Training is present-focused and action-oriented—creating space for relief, growth, and meaningful change.

Skills Covered

  • Mindfulness – Learning to stay present and grounded

  • Distress Tolerance – Building tools to move through difficult moments

  • Emotion Regulation – Understanding and managing emotional responses

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – Communicating needs and setting healthy boundaries

Who It’s For

This group is for adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are looking for practical skills in a supportive, non-judgmental space. No prior DBT experience is required.

Logistics

Groups Held Virtually Tuesday Evenings 7:00 -8:30pm 

Groups meet on a regular rotating basis, following the rotation listed below. Individuals may join the group during week one of any of the Orientation/Mindfulness Modules. The most benefit is received in completing a full cycle of the 6 modules. Complete the form below to receive information related to the upcoming entrance module.

  • Orientation/Mindfulness Module (2 weeks) 

  • Distress Tolerance Module (6 weeks)

  • Orientation/Mindfulness Module (2 weeks)

  • Emotional Regulation Module (7 weeks)

  • Orientation/Mindfulness Module (2 weeks) 

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness Module (5 weeks)

Additional Details:

  • Format: Skills-based educational group (this is not a processing group)

  • Group Size: Small and supportive (5-10 people)

  • Concurrent Therapy: Individual therapy encouraged but not required
