Maybe it’s Time to Talk to Someone

There isn’t always a dramatic moment that signals it’s time to start therapy. More often, it’s a quiet, persistent feeling - like something is off, heavy, or harder than it used to be.

You might notice you’re more irritable, more anxious, or more tired than usual. Maybe you keep having the same arguments, the same thoughts, or the same worries on repeat. Things that once felt manageable now feel overwhelming. Or maybe nothing is “wrpng” in a clear way - you just don’t feel like yourself.

Many people wait until things feel unbearable before reaching out for help. But therapy isn’t only for a crisis moment. It can be a space to sort through stress, gain clarity, or simply have someone in your corner while you navigate a difficult season.

Some signs it might be time to talk to someone include:

  • Feeling stuck or unmotivated

  • Constant worry or racing thoughts

  • Changes in sleep, appetite, or energy

  • Difficulty managing emotions

  • Struggles in relationships

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or others

Starting therapy doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with you. It means you’re paying attention to your needs. It’s a step toward understanding yourself better and creating the kind of life and relationship you want.

Sometimes, the first step is simply opening the door and seeing what support feels like.
